Oh how I love receiving things to trial from Beauty Review, unwrapping the courier package like it's a birthday present lol. While I will not buy this product again, I think it may suit other people who like the whip and whose skin might react differently to the ingredients. However, I cannot say that it has caused the advertised “skin appearance transformation”. Over all, the cream is certainly hydrating, it has the promised matt finish, and I like that it has SPF 30. I am not sure if this is due to it being a whip rather than a regular cream or caused by the ingredients. The slight peeling does however still occasionally happen, even now that I have been using the cream for months. This time there was less burning and peeling, and after a few days of using the cream every second day, I went to using it every day and I had no more burning sensation. There did not seem to be any damage to my skin, and I did not want to waste the rest of the cream, so I waited a couple of days and tried again, assuming that my skin would just need to get used to the anti-ageing ingredients in the cream. While I could not find any information from Olay I found that many reviews of the cream mentioned similar issues, but with no negative outcomes. At this point I was a little worried as my skin had never reacted to any face cream before, and googled the cream to see if Olay had any information on this. The first time I used it, it seemed to be absorbed into the skin at first, but then my skin felt like it was burning a little, and I could not tell if the cream was peeling off again as I kept trying to massage it in, or if indeed some skin was coming off. I was not using any other products with anti-ageing ingredients while using the Regenerist Cream, and I was eventually using it once per day. Sadly, I have to say that I do not particularly like the consistency of the whip, and it also smells a bit “chemical”. I have been using Olay products for many years, usually just simple moisturising face creams with SPF, and I have always really liked them, however, this is the first time that I have used a “whip” rather than a normal face cream. available today I think this is a real misstep from Olay. Given the plethora of recyclable plastics, glass etc. The packaging of this cream looks really nice, but unfortunately it is not recyclable. In my opinion the best way to deal with skin ageing is to reduce UV exposure and avoid causing skin damage in the first place, so I was delighted to find a face cream that had an SPF of 30 at the same time as being able to reduce already existing signs of ageing. I chose the Olay Regenerist Whip UV Cream with SPF 30 in the Beauty Vault because I was looking for an anti-ageing cream and I am also a big fan of wearing sunscreen every day.
